Beauty in Black @ National Museum of Singapore

Visited the Beauty in Black exhibition a couple of weeks back as one of my Friday activities of the day. We were greeted by 18 different black dresses hanging from the ceiling as we entered the quiet, and seemingly mournful room. The dresses date from 1950s to 2000s by world renowned designers, Karl Lagerfeld to Cristobal Balenciaga as well as our very own hone-grown designers, Benny Ong and Thomas Wee. Quite ironically, I wore a Little White Dress, but no one except the security guard was there to critique me. It was surprisingly quiet for a Friday evening, which allowed us to get up close and personal with the dresses and slowly mull over the quotes and history behind the Little Black Dress(es). Go visit these history-infused dresses from now till the 13th of June. The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 8pm. 

Pamela Love x Topshop

"Today Love tweeted a page from the April issue of Vogue that contains some info on the collaboration. What can we expect from the talon-loving CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist? Hearts! We’re not kidding: “When have you seen me use hearts before? But it works.” The girl is versatile! Just don’t assume it has anything to do with Topshop’s cheeky British wit:  ”It evokes the spirit of America. I’m their first designer from the States, so I felt it was important to represent that.”

Is this the best news ever..or is this the best news EVER? Cannot wait for the preview to surface and to get my hands on these must-have works of art from Pamela Love. My accessories Goddess never fails, to say I idolise her whole being would be a severe understatement. The collection drops in one month's time, hopefully it wont take too long for it to reach us! I will be scouring all Topshop outlets to get my hands on them!

Wardrobe staple: Favourite bag, favourite accessories, favourite(newly acquired!) white dress from Bë

Can't decide if its how the white on this dress just makes it look so clean, or the subtle details on it which made me fall in love with it when I saw it on the hanger in Actually Actually, but it has gone on my list of "favourite every day dresses". You know.. those dresses you grab without thinking the moment you see it in your closet? My sister dubbed it "the funeral dress", which made me realise I've been on a rather monochromatic run recently. I wonder if it's just a passing phase cause it's really starting to grow on me..

But I can be alone without Yoko, but I just have no wish to be. There’s no reason on earth why i should be alone without yoko. there’s nothing more important than our relationship, nothing. And we dig being together all the time. Both of us could survive apart but what for? I’m not going to sacrifice love, real love for any whore or any friend or any business, because in the end you’re alone at night and neither of us want to be. And you can’t fill a bed with groupies. It doesn’t work. I’ve been through it all and nothing works better than to have someone you love hold you.
